Important Update: Extended Grooming Gap Fee & Proof of Grooming

It is recommended that dogs who require haircuts be groomed every 6 to 8 weeks to maintain their coat’s health and appearance. When dogs only come in a couple of times a year, it can be difficult to groom them properly, especially if they are matted or in poor condition. Therefore, an additional fee will apply to dogs that have gone longer than 12 weeks without grooming.

However, I understand that some dogs can go longer between appointments without issues. If your dog is well-maintained, not matted, and in good condition, the additional fee will not apply. If you’re unsure whether this applies to your dog, feel free to reach out and I’ll gladly assess their grooming needs.

Thank you for your continued trust and understanding. I look forward to keeping your pups happy, healthy, and looking their best!

Important Policy Update: Unaltered Female Dogs in Heat

As a professional groomer, it is my responsibility to ensure the health and safety of both the dogs in my care and myself. One important factor that can impact grooming is an unaltered female dog’s heat cycle.

No Grooming During Heat:
I cannot, and will not, groom any unaltered female dog that is actively bleeding, even a small amount. Bleeding during heat is unsanitary, and it’s also important to note that dogs in heat can behave unpredictably, which can increase the risk of injury or stress during the grooming process.

Client Responsibility:
It is crucial that you monitor your dog’s heat cycle and book appointments when they are not in heat. Signs of an impending heat cycle typically become noticeable 1-2 weeks before the bleeding begins. So, within the 72 hours leading up to your appointment, the following signs may be noticeable:

If your dog shows any of these signs, please reschedule your appointment before the 72 hour cancelation window to avoid any fees.

Additional Fee for Last-Minute Rescheduling or Grooming Refusal:
If an unaltered female dog arrives in heat or shows signs of bleeding, the appointment may be immediately canceled, and a rescheduling fee will apply if you have already reached your two allotted grace cancellations/no-shows. If you have not reached the limit, this will count toward your two grace cancellations/no-shows.

Additionally, if this issue happens repeatedly, a service fee may be implemented to cover the lost time and any inconvenience caused.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in ensuring the grooming experience remains safe, hygienic, and stress-free for all dogs involved.
