At Doggy Style LLC, my goal is to put your mind at ease while gaining your furry best friend’s trust. I like to consider myself a force/fear-free groomer, otherwise known as a consent-based or cooperative groomer. My motto is indeed “Humanity before vanity”. I stand by that. The main thing I want for dogs is their comfort and trust. Of course, that may take some time. I would be lying if I said that every dog gets comfortable with grooming eventually. The fact is, there will be a few who will never like nor enjoy the process, no matter the technique, nor the amount of time spent trying to get them comfortable with it. When it comes to these pups, I use my experience and judgement to keep the grooming process within a strict routine. Doing so can help these anxious dogs know what to expect. Hopefully, with time and patience, they will grow to at least tolerate it.
